Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer
Philadelphia, PA.
Rate $55hr

Core Requirements:

Provide development support for client, web, and database applications in a variety of languages/platforms. Candidate is expected to have 5-7 years of hands-on experience developing web applications leveraging server-side, client-side and database technologies. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the major technology platforms (ASP.NET, Java, ColdFusion) as well as JavaScript and SQL.

Candidate should have knowledge of data loss prevention strategies. Candidate will develop and manage the Symantec Data Loss Prevention application suite. The qualified candidate will have a diverse set of skills to support the backend structure while implementing solutions to a hosted environment for centralized, streamlined and automated business processes.

Responsibilities will include problem solving, coding and scripting, and workflow design. Candidate will also be required to produce documentation of all products developed and will be involved in the support of the DLP applications utilized in production. The work will often be of a collaborative nature so the candidate will need to be able to interact well with others inside and outside of his/her work group.


Core Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze and respond to security related events on the network using established tools and processes
- Drive and participate in efforts and projects to develop, refine and implement Security Operations processes
- Support compliance related scans, assessments and remediation
- Deploy, maintain and tune Security Operations systems and applications
- Interface with all internal teams to investigate and drive the resolution of Information Security related issues
- Build and maintain relationships with operational and technology teams

Requirements:
Understanding of, and experience building and running, Security Operations processes systems- Experience with network, system and application penetration techniques and vulnerability detection and remediation
Understanding of network design, client server topologies and high availability systems
Solid working knowledge of UNIX or LINUX and experience with MS OS
Ability to participate in on-call rotation and incident response
Strong communication (written and verbal) and cross organizational collaboration skills
Ability to manage small to medium sized projects
Initiative to self start, take ownership, focus on highest priorities and autonomously drive issues to completion
Programming and scripting skills a strong plus
CISSP or related certifications a plus
Unquestionable integrity
Experience in a hands-on Security related role in a highly available environment
Experience with system and application security, SIEM, IDS, vulnerability scanners, packet capture and analysis, DLP and related technologies
