Title: SAP Technical Specialist (Application Environment Management)
Location: NYC, NY, NJ

Responsibilities:
The Technical Specialist, Application Environment Management, is responsible for the day-to-day activities related to the planning and management of the SAP environment, including related and interfaced software components. This individual will work closely with the PMO, Design Integration and Architecture, Application (infrastructure) Services, and the functional Solution Centers to coordinate the ongoing management of the SAP environments. This is a hands-on management position which has global impact and responsibility. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to planning, coordination, and management of the activities related to:
· SAP landscape definition, implementation, and refresh
· New product installation and integration
· Upgrade and enhancement pack implementations
· Vendor-specific risk mitigation (e.g., SAP Safeguarding / MaxAttention)
· Application release management
· Functional system readiness
· Cutover and cutover preparations
This applicant must have strong leadership and management skills and should be one who can thrive in a dynamically changing, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will:

Requirements:
· 10+ years of IT experience
· Solid knowledge and experience in the planning and management of SAP environments in support of the system development life cycle of multiple, concurrent projects, including:
· The logical and physical definition of the SAP landscape from an instance and interface perspective
· The definition of change management and propagation processes to ensure synchronization of the environments
· The selection and implementation of tools to support the controlled and automated execution of the change management and propagation processes
· The definition and documentation of an application inventory and related architectural diagrams
· The definition and documentation of technology roadmaps
· The definition and documentation of environment / technology standards
· Solid knowledge of the SAP Solution Manager landscape definition and management capabilities
· Good working knowledge of the ASAP methodology, including experience in the planning and management of several implementation cycles, at least one global
· Solid knowledge and experience with release planning and coordination
· Solid knowledge and experience in the planning, coordination, and management of the functional application and data-related activities necessary to prepare an SAP environment for use
· Solid knowledge and experience in planning, coordination, and management of system cutovers for SAP, both the core ERP and new dimension products (e.g., CRM, SRM, SCM, BI, etc.)
· Solid knowledge and experience in planning, coordination, and management of the implementation and cutover of new systems and related software components
· Knowledge and experience in the planning, coordination, and management of SAP Safeguarding or MaxAttention activities
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field required
