Location: Pittsburgh , PA

Duration: 6+ Months

Responsibilities:

* Participate in the requirements analysis and detail design of object oriented
software applications .
o Analyze business systems requirements and design technical solutions based on
those requirements .
o Develop and support new software applications .
o Design, document, test, and implement application features and enhancements.
o Contribute to software development process standards .
o Develop Oracle PL/SQL procedures and packages .
o Develop technical specification documents .
o Support and enhance existing programs and modules .
o Participate in code reviews .
o Assisting Product Support with production issues .
o Thoroughly understand all the technical aspects of relational database design
and data modeling .



Requirements:

* Four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology,
Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience .
* Minimum eight years of experience in systems analysis and programming,
addressing unique issues of architecture and data management.
* Minimum five years Oracle development experience required .
* Knowledge and experience of all aspects of the software development process.
* Strong Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL skills .
* Previous SQL tuning experience required, database tuning a plus .
* Knowledge of relational databases, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Unix
operating system .
* Ability to work independently on multiple tasks .
* Strong communication and technical skills .
* Excellent knowledge of Object-oriented Modeling, Analysis, Design, and
Programming
* Experience working in integrated product development team environment
* Experience with coordinating small projects a plus
* Experience with data modeling a plus

Qualifications

 

• Analyzes information, requirements and specifications to design and develop solutions for web and windows based applications

• Modify existing applications/solutions to implement additional features and functionality

• Ability to design and create advanced SQL based solutions using tables, functions and stored procedures with T-SQL

• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with little or no supervision

• Ability to analyze and research existing application code bases to learn and subsequently enhance with little guidance

• Consults with business staff to develop understanding of varied and complex business needs supported by the system

• Ensures programming results are meeting the client’s requirements based on the client’s business needs

• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 5 to 7 years of Microsoft Visual Studio Development  

• 2 to 3 years of Experience with C#/VB/ASP.Net

• Advanced Experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 T-SQL and Stored Procedure

• Strong Knowledge of Back-End Based Development

• Strong Knowledge of Creating both Web and Windows Based Applications 

• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 R2 a plus

• Implement best practices and standards for software development

• Highly professional demeanor with well rounded business acumen

• Strong accountability and results orientation

• Detail-oriented with very strong organizational skills
