MDM Business Analyst The MDM Business Analyst is responsible for providing support to the key enterprise programs that enable foundational data management and key Responsibilities will also include leveraging best practice experience in Master Data Management and Data Quality processes and solutions to implement business programs and cross-functional projects.. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: This individual will have experience with 1-3 MDM programs from either business aspect or IT or both. The right expert will work closely with business stakeholders to support MDM strategy by providing business process and documentation of key data definitions and policies across the key enterprise systems and business processes. The ideal candidate will conduct and facilitate working group tracks to define enterprise master data definitions, end to end data lifecycle. • Perform data profiling analysis and root cause analysis • Solution and design approaches to business solution including Universal Customer Master (UCM), Trillium DQ, Product Hub, Data Relationship Management (DRM) or Hierarchy tools • Lead the business solution design and implementation of projects and create solutions to meet business challenges and resolve system / process issues • Perform detailed analysis of business and functional processes and requirements • Write, review and approve business and functional approach and design documentation • Document new master data business processes requiring an end to end approach • Responsible for business process understanding of data consumption. • Support Data Governance Program Enhancements • Data Lifecycle management processes and procedures • Data Scavenger, i.e. review data and data metrics/profiling • Act as role model in understanding and applying information management standards and policies • Work with data quality toolsets to identify improvements and execute • Work with business counterparts to identify demand needs and prioritize • Drive streamlining of enterprise data end to end process flow • Ability to summarize results in organized format (Power Point) • Global Data: Must work well with global data and Global business partners • Support implementation and maintenance of corporate hierarchies including D&B • Data Profiling-Ability to articulate data extract requirements to IT for data profiling. Experience with open source data tools desired.- examine and profile datasets for metrics, reporting, Projects : • Make recommendations for data quality improvements including process changes, data cleansing and integrity rule updates
Requirements:
• Power user of MS Excel & MS Access with the knowledge of VBA (should be able to create macros). • Ability to summarize results in organized format (Power Point)MDM and/or Data Quality experience a must-have • End to End process flow documentation • Business Process documentation • Project management skills • Working knowledge of master data management (information management) program cycles of profiling, data enrichment (D&B, Harte-Hanks) for customer, product and hierarchy dimensions • Ability to document business process • Experience with D&B, Hoover’s, other 3rd party enrichment providers • Excellent interpersonal skills - Strong in spoken and written English • Presentation skills: Must be able to create materials and facilitate meetings with senior level management and above. • Working across global teams and understanding of cross culture is preferred • Self-directed and proactive approach to tackling problems and leveraging resources. • Demonstrated process management, testing and document control skills • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, organizational abilities, and proven attention to detail • Should have exhibited accountability, ownership and decision making capabilities • Project management skills |
