Position : Senior Network Engineer
Duration : 6+ Months
Location : Ann Arbor, MI

The Senior Network Engineer provides the design, architecture and implementation efforts for Client's network infrastructure. The Senior Engineer is required to work closely with key internal customers to deliver solutions on a timely basis and in a quality manner.  In addition, it is the Engineer’s responsibility that uptime, performance and capacity requirements meet the business requirements.  The individual will provide team leadership and mentoring to all members of the Network staff, ensuring that all are being appropriately informed and supported.      


Responsibilities:
•             Design and maintain LAN/WAN, Firewall, ISDN, Internet Access, VPN, RAS, DNS, IDS in an environment with 1000+ network devices
•             Log and Event management
•             Create and document standards and procedures
•             Administer network management and monitoring tools
•             Diagnose Network operational problems and provide effective solutions
•             Provide analysis and planning efforts for LAN/WAN changes that support data integrity and performance
•             Analyze Network performance data and make recommendations for improvements and optimization maximizing network availability and ensuring network security
•             Evaluate the efficiency of the network operations, and make recommendations involving equipment and software efficiency and the need for replacement
•             Provide users and management with advisory and technical guidance and recommendations to improve network operations, functionality, control, and overall support
•             Document network topology and site configurations
•             Analyze existing network procedures for efficiency and effectiveness
•             Provide second level support for LAN/WAN and escalated issues
•             Network Project Implementation

Position Description The Project and Portfolio Management team is embarking on a next generation information delivery and reporting tool strategy for a diverse user community. The Report Solutions Architect will lead the charge to understand industry best practices and trends, corporate standards, and collaborate with application and enterprise infrastructure teams to identify and design use of enabling tools based on business requirements.
Skills Required Tech Skills:
- Design, development and deployment of traditional and operational business Intelligence reporting architectures.

- Design, development and deployment of Business Objects XIR3 Enterprise features and functionality such as Crystal Reports 2008, Publisher, scheduling, event server triggers, Universe semantic layer creation, derived / linked Universes, importing/exporting of metadata and software development kit (SDK) for JSE 168 compliant portals and report integration.

- Design, development and load strategies for MOLAP, ROLAP, HOLAP, DOLAP cube tools such as MS Analysis Services, IBM - Cognos PowerPlay and Oracle Essbase.

- Design, development and load strategies for dashboards and in memory tools such as QlikView and Spotfire.

- Understand techniques to source from structured and unstructured data sources such as flat file, RDBMS (Oracle, Sybase and DB2), Web Services and XML.


Soft Skills:
- Interaction with business users, executive management, business analyst and development teams
- Gathering and documenting business requirements to design delivery solution
- Communicating ideas and document with graphical tools like Visio
- PowerPoint presentations
- Mentoring of junior team members.
