Job Description:
Execute Delivery of High Priority Corporate Initiatives: Supports client transaction system configuration changes and new configuration requirements as necessary
in support of Corporate Initiatives.
As a Facets Product Specialist, provides leadership through the SDLC process including configuration analysis, design, development and testing. Serves as the
end to end product consultant in the support of changes and/or configuration defects as they apply to enrollment, provider reimbursement, provider setup, claims
highly desirable. Provides technical support in identifying the appropriate solutions required by user areas; assists IT Leadership in performing a needs analysis of
the relevant business areas and in matching user needs to system capabilities to ensure that changes can be easily transitioned into the business environment.
Facilitates and manages changes to configuration baselines and understands the unique issues around release and change management.
Oversees the modification and/or implementation of new configurations to Facets and surround systems in support of the Medical health plan administration.
Recommends and coordinates the implementation of configuration changes to improve the overall efficiency of system processing. Plays a lead role in
configuring/re-configuring Facets to process more efficiently so as to increase claims first pass rate and reduce administrative costs. Works as an integral part of a
team in order to increase processing efficiencies and reduce negative Service impacts. Serves as a consultative liaison with various Operations area to ensure
optimization of the Facets system.
Understands the Corporate strategic vision and ensures that changes to the system and business process align with future needs. Provides insight, functional
expertise, technical expertise and knowledge of business operations, strategies and priorities to support the technical direction of the business.
Maintains a high level of knowledge in data management tools and reporting/decision support tools in order to provide Corporate awareness and oversight of the
current environment in order to offer recommendations enabling CareFirst to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Operational Readiness: Ensure organizational readiness to assume business responsibility and ownership when the corporate program effort is completed for all
implementations.
Leadership/Staff Development: Provides leadership to team members including: hiring, setting goals, salary adjustments within budget and corporate guidelines,
performance management, staff development and advancement, performance plans for team members and performance feedback, training sessions related to
process/system knowledge, answering questions, providing coaching and counseling, helping to set deadlines, setting an example of how to accomplish tasks in an
effective manner.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or an equivalent work experience required. Must have a minimum of 5-7+ years high level
Facets Product configuration experience Previous management and delivery experience in a dynamic high-technology environment is a key to success in this
position.
Thorough knowledge of the Facets product configuration end to end and the ability to understands impacts of product configuration design
Thorough knowledge of Provider, Benefits, Claims, Enrollment, and Customer Service inter-relationships and interdependencies
Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills; a tactical thinker
Multiple, successful program and project management experiences delivering large-scale, complex systems that are mission critical to an organization
Experience with writing requirements and utilizing technology to resolve business problems
An acute understanding of the relationship between Business Operations, IT, Finance, Audit and PMO in order to ensure the successful delivery of corporate
initiatives from inception through the SDLC to day-to-day operations
Proven ability to partner with strategic vendors to ensure their product strategies and CareFirst’s corporate strategy have alignment; partnering with vendors at
the C-suite level
Must be capable of developing partnerships and relationships with peers, clients and vendors to ensure that milestones and deadlines are met within budgetary
constraints
People-developer capability to ensure direct reports and other subordinates have opportunity to develop and grow within CareFirst
Excellent analytical skills and proven experience with methodologies/processes
Strong consultative skills aimed at connecting IT and Business leaders and facilitating the definition and shaping of strategic and tactical priorities
