Candidate will need to be on our W2 . So GC/EAD/Citizens/H1 transfer only eligible. We cannot do C2C with other company but your profit margin can be given to you as an hourly recruitment fee as long as the consultant works on the project.
Job Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to install, configure and maintain the J2EE application servers (Tomcat, Weblogic, Jboss, Oracle Application Server) environment running on (LINUX, UNIX, and/or Windows), servers for computer systems used in the organization, in support of business processing requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Provides technical support and is responsible for the implementation of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be a delivered on an ongoing basis.
Responsible for ongoing management of Middleware infrastructure.
Performs necessary systems maintenance in accordance with software supplier best practices and Company change management policies.
Executes system migration as required.
Responsible for Runbook Design, Development, and ongoing updates.
Responsible for on-going recommendations and best practices, as applicable, for Business Continuity and High Availability.
Supports Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning and design as applicable.
Provides ITIL Process Planning as applicable.
Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization
Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable.
Rotational 24x7 On-Call Support
Performs software installations and upgrades to J2EE application servers running on different operating systems (Linux,Unix and/or Windows).
Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
Supports the J2EE application server, web servers and related infrastructure by resolving problems in a timely and efficient manner.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree & 2 years of IS experience
OR
Associates degree & 6 years of IS experience
OR
High school diploma / GED & 8 years of IS experience
AND
3 years experience administrating J2EE application servers (WebLogic, Tomcat, Jboss, Oracle Application Server) on different operating systems (Linux, Solaris and/or Windows).
Must be familiar with using tools to monitor the internal performance and health monitoring of the servers/clusters and J2EE server instances
Experience of Java programming and Software Development Life Cycle
Preferred Qualifications:
Related Vendor Certifications
A basic knowledge and understanding of operating systems and database environments.
Solid understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP
Integration with Network Load Balancer technology
