Manage Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) activities, including:

ΓΌ  Coordinate the activities between different development teams to identify the changes required in data transfer program to the reporting databases (DW and CRDB)
ΓΌ  Develop and migrate ETL changes to production after testing in the appropriate test environment for each build

Qualifications:
•           Must have previous experience as a development support DBA
o        Strong working experience in implementing change control processes.
o        Strong working knowledge of SQL administration, including failover, clustering, and performance tuning
o        Experience in implementing backup and recovery tasks
o        Minimum of 8 years professional IT experience required, of which at least 5 should be as a DBA
o        MS SQL server DBA certification would be a plus
•           Must have previous experience in implementing DTS and ETL programs
•           Must have previous experience in data warehouse data modeling
o        Familiarity with dimensional modeling techniques, such as star schema

DESCRIPTION

“We are converting the existing  data base to DB2 so that the  system and the new  system can both access the  data structures.  We are making the new data structures use mainframe DB2 so that we will end up with a unified DB2 data base for the hybrid system. 

REQUIRED SKILLS

The developers doing this conversion will need excellent mainframe Cobol skills, with experience using DB2.  IMS data base skills would be a plus.  It is desirable that at least one of the developers will be familiar with Telon/IMS and Telon/DB2, since almost all of the Cobol programs involved currently use Telon.  They should also be able to convert the IMS utilities to the appropriate DB2 utilities, or to advise Data Support on these issues.

DELIVERABLES

All this work must also be coordinated with the ongoing efforts of the maintenance team so that changes made during the conversion period will not be lost or mangled

- Then configure in Oracle and test the rules to validate that the configuration matches all the requirements.
