Required Skills
Work
alone or in small teams to build, enhance and maintain existing .NET (2.0, 3.5,
4.0) windows applications, web service and web applications written in C#.
·
Create and shape technical documents with minimal guidance.
·
Solve moderate to complex problems with minimal guidance using
appropriate toolset.
·
Design and build Microsoft SQL Server databases including creating
tables, writing stored procedures, queries, triggers, cursors scheduling
back-ups or restoring from backups.
·
Design and build Microsoft Reporting Services solutions as a
stand-alone application or integrated into new or existing web applications.
·
Develop and implement unit test plans and test cases.
·
Document, troubleshoot and isolate moderate to complex problems
encountered during unit testing.
·
Work with other members of the Application Development team to
help coach others, improve our processes, effectiveness and efficiency.
·
Manage code reviews and quality aspects for outsourced development
initiatives
·
Work closely with Business Analyst to understand requirements and
planning project
·
Translate business requirements into workable solution
architectures
Qualifications
BS in
Computer Science or equivalent technical training and professional work
experience.
•
A minimum of 6+ year's cumulative experience developing web based application
on the Microsoft .Net platform and technologies i.e. C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, WCF,
Silverlight, AJAX, jQuery, etc.
•
Experience with multiple Microsoft server technologies. i.e. SharePoint
2007/2010, ILM/FIM, SQL Server 2005 and 2008, TFS, MSMQ, BizTalk, SSRS
•
Experience with Web 2.0 technologies, user interface design and information
architecture
•
Experience working with financial and investment applications
•
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnosis complex software problems.
•
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, as well as excellent written and
verbal communication skills.
•
Experience with development methodologies ranging from Waterfall to RUP to
Scrum
•
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented concepts.
