Responsibilities:

·          Web Developer (WD) supporting a Federal agency that is in the process of migrating from the existing Adobe architecture to a system that is web-based. The new software must provide the agency with a reliable, scalable architecture that permits users to access the system via the SSA Intranet. In addition, the software should provide the ability to leverage current agency technologies and be capable of adding functionality using standard development tools (e.g. HTML, Java, and JavaScript).  There are two major efforts; however, this requisition is designed to support the conversion of existing JetForm FormFlow Classic 2.2 and Adobe Form Designer 5.0 forms to HTML-based forms used in the new application.
·          The WD interacts with the customer and reviews requirements documentation, and interacts with the customer to glean and assess requirements. Subsequently, applies required skills to develop and unit test web-based code.  The WD develops weekly status reports to report accomplishments.

Requirements:
HEAVY FOCUS ON HTML, CSS, XML.

·          Java, J2EE, SOA, XML, Object Oriented Analysis, JMS, DB2, SQL, JDBC, JavaScript, CSS, MKS, HTML, SSL, Web Services, SOAP, SMAL, WS-Security, WebSphere, and RAD.

Desired:

·          Knowledge and understanding of mainframe-based development and testing.
·          Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to prepare individual status reports.
·          Strong working knowledge of Windows and Office (Word and Excel).
·          Working knowledge of CMM (Capability Maturity Model) or CMMI (CMM Integrated).
·          Note:  This is neither an analyst position nor a telecommunicating position.

Education:

·           An undergraduate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology or a computer related field with minimum of 5 years of professional experience.

***Candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance prior to beginning work***
