Job Position  :    User Interface (UI) Designer/Developer

Location        :     Sacramento, CA

Duration      :      6 months

Rate              :      $7300/Month

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The UI Designer/Developer will work with the application design team to design and develop screen mock-ups, wireframes, and simple navigation based on defined GUI standards and best practices.  This is not a .NET systems development role.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must have 2+ years experience with Visual Studio 2010 OR Dreamweaver

• Must have 2+ years of working knowledge of Web 2.0 standards, (X)HTML/CSS, Javascript, usability and accessibility

• Must have 2+ years of user interface design and front-end development for Web applications

• Extensive rapid prototyping experience creating and iteratively refining a user interface design

• Well-versed in fundamental visual and interactive design architecture disciplines and principles

• Strong prototyping, visual, and analytical skills

• Proven ability to find simple solutions to complex problems.

• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to conceive, develop, and present an intuitive and “user-friendly” UI experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)

• Experience with .NET application development

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with the application design team to create screen mockups and wireframes with simple navigation between screens (no data or validation logic)

• Participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) and working sessions and document meeting minutes

• Advise on design, layout, navigation, and usability to create a smooth end-user experience
