Position : QA Engineer

Location : LA

Duration : 6months

Rate : $38/hr

Requirements / Qualifications:

*     At least 3 years experience in Quality Assurance

*     At least 1 year experience testing SOA applications

*     A record of success through entire project cycle, including design/requirements review, test plan development, designing and executing test cases, regression testing

*     Experience analyzing product requirements and generating test cases for effective coverage of feature, regression, and stress testing needs

*     Experience with designing and executing test cases for a diverse suite of services

*     Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining automated tests to reduce duplication of effort and enhance product confidence

*     Expertise in discriminating cases that can be effectively automated from those that require manual testing

*     Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira to log, manage, resolve and report bugs/defects

*     Sufficient knowledge and skill with SQL to effectively create and modify test data and verify results within databases

*     Understanding of Java, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, WSDL, WADL, and Xpath

*     Basic skills working with version control systems (svn, cvs, etc) to manage code (automated tests) and troubleshoot build related issues

*     Experience with automated test tools such as SoapUI, Junit, TestNG, LISA, TestMaker or WebInject

*     Strong communication skills (both written and oral), evidenced by a background in preparing comprehensive documentation incorporating complex information

*     Strong understand of service architecture and implementation

*     Experience with some form of build and deployment process and tools such as Hudson, Cruise Control, Maven, or Ant
