Job Position : Oracle DBA / SQL Server DBA
Location : Reading PA
Duration : 6+ Months

Position Description/Responsibilities:
Oracle DBA
Client's Database environment consists of numerous Oracle versions 8.x – 11g as well as SQLSever 2005 and 2008 running on Linux, AIX and Windows platforms. The primary responsibility of this position will be to administer these databases. The following skills and experience are required for this position.
Required Skills:
2 years production experience with SQL Server databases.
5 years production experience as an Oracle DBA on versions 9i, 10g or 11g.
Includes installation, configuration, database creation, security, RMAN backup and recovery, upgrades, space management, performance tuning, troubleshooting etc.
Ability to write and use scripts as well as Oracle’s Enterprise Manager tools
Oracle utilities: import, export and SQL*loader
Experience with SQL and PL/SQL Procedures, Triggers and Packages
Ad-hoc support experience as well as project work
Ability to produce detailed documentation for team
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently
Attitude and willingness to assist team wherever required
Evening and weekend hours required
24x7 on-call support required
Skills that are a PLUS:
OEM Installation and Configuration experience
Administration of Data Warehouse databases
Perl scripting experience
Linux experience
SQL Server Clustering
Working knowledge of TOAD for SQL Server and Oracle
Windows 200X System Administration, Active Directory knowledge
UNIX System Administration experience
Dataguard, RAC
Oracle apps/dba, ASCP, Demantra
