Title: Mainframe Tester

Location: Detroit, MI

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: $35/hr

Position Description/Responsibilities:

Requirements: •              5+ years experience in data analysis in an information technology operating environment •              5+ years experience with DB2, Oracle and/or SQL Server •              5+ years experience with mainframe, TSO, ISPF, and flat file processing •              5+ years experience with UNIX •              5+ years relational technology experience •              Ability to analyze requirements/design documents and create test scenarios/cases based on requirements •              Ability to multi task and self direct •              Experience with data analysis including profiling, auditing, balancing and reconciliation •              Knowledge of data warehousing concepts such as Slowly Changing  Dimension (SCD), Change Data Capture (CDC), and relational and dimensional data modeling techniques •              Knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) Soft-Skills: •              Excellent Communicator – Will be responsible for explaining and validating work results and insight applied to tools used for client analysis. Must be able to communicate effectively with both business users as well as technical resources. •              Professional – Will be part of a global team and often communicate with end-client in building requirements and providing insight on data and business solutions. •              Strong self-esteem – Must feel comfortable with asking questions, challenging others on the team and defending theories and methodology used to create individual results. •              Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. •              Extensive creativity required
