JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Ability to develop, drive and track financial results including but not limited to analysis, reporting, identifying and resolving issues and risks. Must have hands on experience working with financial data at all levels (Manager, Departmental, Divisional levels). Strong Financial background to include managing and developing budgets. Ability to independently prepare data and presentations for input into Executive Level Reporting.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Considerable knowledge of financial activities, systems, policies and standards.
Ability to carry out continuing assignments related to the organization of material, the preparation of reports, prioritization of activities and the making of decisions.
Ability to collaborative effectively with all levels of management and associates, and discuss problems and complaints tactfully, courteously, and effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels including IT Management, Corporate Finance Management and associates at all levels.
Essential to be able to reason mathematically and to have analytical and problem solving skills; Detail oriented.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EDUCATION:
Bachelor Degree with 3-5 years of demonstrated success in the financial and administrative career areas. Must have comprehensive working knowledge of business computer applications with specific skills required in use of financial applications, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation graphics with an expertise in general accounting.
• Self starter who will take ownership of financial activities
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel (advanced level required).
• Ability to present ideas verbally and in writing to senior management regarding finance related issues
• Ability to develop and analyze budget variances, suggesting appropriate actions to resolve issues
• Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to balance a large group of diverse projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of journal entries and accounting systems
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Proven financial and accounting acumen
• Effective organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple assignments simultaneously and independently
GENERAL FUNCTION: Under direction of the Manager of IT Support/Finance the Financial Analyst will complete complex financial analysis for IT financial metrics and dashboard reporting. S/he will work in concert with IT Finance personnel and Management, as well as working directly with IT management to resolve questions and issue resolution in relation to IT Financial information gathering, analysis and reporting; generating monthly financial data/reports for input to the IT Divisional dashboard/reporting. This position requires advanced excel and cost accounting competencies. As well as ability to independently conduct complex financial analysis. Will also assist Manager, IT Support/Finance in the various tasks and responsibilities that may arise in the ordinary course of business
