Title : Business Analyst
Location: NYC.
Duration :6+month
Rate : DOE

Our client is looking for Business Analyst/M204 Programmer to assist in the development, evaluation, design and implementation of web services between the Automate the School (ATS) student information system and the Special Education Student Information System (SESIS).

The M204 Data Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Assisting in requirements gathering and analysis

Analyzing requirements and propose file and program designs

Assisting in new functionality development

Assisting in the supervision of programmer and programmer/analyst

Assisting in the development of web service standards to be used for all M204 web services

Analyzing coding problems and de-bug complex user language programs

Using in-depth knowledge of data structures, data modeling assist in the design of complex systems incorporating many programs, files and data structures

Creating meaningful test data, engage in testing, debugging and quality control

Evaluating performance of the application and suggest efficiency measures

Performing maintenance of existing system functionality


Day-to-day responsibilities include:
-Gather specific data requirements and business logic for each specific service
-Communicate and translate requirements effectively between the SESIS application development team and the ATS development team
-Work with and through the overall architectural committee to ensure that all services created meet Company’s data standards
-Check for consistency and adherence to ATS web services standards
-Determine and document the impact of change and suggest policy, goal and rule changes

Required Skills
8 or more years experience in Model 204 User Language
5 or more years experience with File Manager
Proven project management experience
In-depth knowledge of M204 User language
Familiarity with Janus Web tool
