Position: Sr. Software Engineer

Duration: 6months

General Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years software of design or development experience in assigned technical area (forecasting, statistics, and/or mathematical modeling).
• Strong programming skills in object oriented languages, including C++, C#, and/or Java.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills (English) an absolute must. Ability to draft professional and technical reports and procedures. Ability to make formal and informal presentations to both technical and non-technical staff and customers.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• May require travel up to 20%.
• May be required to work extended hours, carry a pager/cell phone and be on call. 

The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.

• Experience with MS Visual Studio, Eclipse, Hibernate (or similar ORM techniques), Spring (or similar dependency injection techniques), web services interfaces, and XML.
• Database experience, knowledge of FORTRAN, and/or experience migrating legacy systems.
• Proven understanding of software design methodology, including knowledge of Test Driven Design (TDD.
