Position : Sr. Java /Java script developer with ExtJS skills.

Location : Wall St. area, NY

Duration : long Term

Must have Core Java - as well as Javascript.

to work with the core web frameworks technology team, as well as other technology teams within the firm to develop, enhance and maintain the

website and related frameworks.

The primary programming language used by the team is Java, the site's frontend is developed using a JavaScript framework ExtJS, utilizing AJAX to

facilitate serving dynamic content to the browser.

The back-end framework uses a wide range of open-source software (e.g. HSQLDB, zookeeper, apache, tomcat), and uses Sybase and DB2 UDB database

engines. A successful candidate will be able to develop software using these technologies (main focus being core Java and JavaScript + ExtJs) and the

frameworks built on top of them. Other responsibilities include: Set and follow quality standards for software development. Identify problems and

suggest improvements in existing software and processes. Assist in deploying and testing software into runtime environments. Work well with a team

of developers.

Skills -

JavaScript development. ExtJs. Server side Java development (3+ years required) Experience in developing multi-threaded applications. Experience in

building scalable server-side components.

Experience in software internationalization.

Experience designing and developing large-scale web applications. Understanding of Java web technologies/frameworks. Object Oriented

Development experience.

Cursory knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS). Strong communication skills. Motivated and self-starter. Attention to quality and

detail. Preferred Qualifications . Relational DB experience a plus.
