Job Overview: | State of NY looking for experienced Oracle Retail (formerly Retek) Technical Consultant specializing in data migration. The position requires technical understanding of the data models and backend of the Oracle Retail suite. This position requires extensive travel to and from client locations throughout the world. Though the job is primarily data migration, the position requires frequent interaction with the client to understand data sources and processes. Applicants should be able highly skilled in Microsoft Excel including the ability to write and run macros. Additionally, the applicant should be able to author Technical Documentation including the following: Gap Development Documents, System Architecture and Network Diagrams, and Technical Specifications. | ||
Requirements: | · 1-2 years Oracle Retail application experience, preferable in Oracle Retail Merchandising Suite (ORMS) version 12 or higher · Experience in full life cycle implementation of packaged software · Programming Languages: 1. Oracle PL/SQL 2. Shell scripting 3. C/C++ · Software: 1. Data Migration Framework (DMF) · Databases: Oracle 1. 9i/ 10G/11 on UNIX · Available to travel 100%, primarily in the United States but international travel may be required · Good team player | | |
