Position: Project Manager
Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: Long term contract
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Sr. Project Manager should show Master Level
Proficiency in project execution from original concept through final
implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by
the project including end users, Central Technology and vendors.
Establishes project deliverables – Develops Project Plan,
Forecast, and Schedule. Includes Work Breakdown, Project
Organization Chart, Communications plan, Risk plan,
Quality plan, Cost/budget and Resource plans.
Communicates Project Plan: Ensures a common
understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the Project
Plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team
members.
Executes project plan: Executes the tasks as defined in
the plan in order to achieve the project goals. Includes executing
all parts of the project plan and managing the budget /
forecast.
Manages changes to project scope: Manages changes to
project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate processes
to maintain an accurate project plan, reflective of
authorized changes, and facilitates customer acceptance.
Measures project performance: Uses appropriate tools and
techniques to monitor the progress of the project, identify and
quantify any variances, perform any required corrective
actions, and communicate to stakeholders.
Implements the approved actions and workarounds required
to mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impact
of rises on the project.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
6 years project experience with relative experience in
all aspects of project management
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years appropriate experience
in lieu of degree Thorough familiarity with all aspects of a
project lifecycle
Proven ability to multi-task and work within challenging
time frames
Accomplished Project management skills
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient Microsoft Project skills
Project Management Professional (PMP)
