Position: Senior Java Web Developer
Location: St. Louis MO
Duration: 6 month contract
Seeking talented Java web developer to supplement an
existing Java development team for 6 months. The candidate will be
working in a SAP Netweaver Portal environment enhancing an existing custom
application.
Essential
Functions:
-Work with the team leader to design, implement, and unit
test new Java application components. Enhance existing components as
needed.
-May be required to translate business requirements into
detailed technical design specifications
-Comply with coding standards, source code version control,
build & deployment procedures.
Skill/Experience
Requirements:
-Minimum 8 years of professional hands on software
development experience with at least 5 years of recent experience programming
and debugging web applications in a Java J2EE environment (servlets, JSPs,
JMS).
-Strong experience with the following technologies - Java,
J2EE, JMS, Servlets /JSP, HTML/DHTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript.
-Hands-on experience with exchanging data between the web
client and server in XML and/or JSON formats .
-Ability to translate design concepts into well structured,
functional and efficient code.
-Understanding the software development cycle and experience
with source code management with version control systems, especially Subversion
(SVN).
-Experience using jQuery and\or Sencha ExtJs\Touch a plus.
-Development in a portal environment such as SAP NetWeaver
Portal is desirable.
-Prior experience interacting with SAP RFCs is desirable
-Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to deal with a dynamic development and work well in
a small team environment.
-Superior problem solving ability in large scale
environment.
-Must be dependable, reliable, and have attention to detail.
-Ability to be a self-starter and use own initiative
appropriately
