The required qualifications
for this position are:
4-year Bachelor s degree preferably in Math, Computer Science or
Engineering. Master s degree preferred
Minimum 7 years of industry
experience with an emphasis on INFORMATICA and ETL tools.
Minimum 5 years of experience in
implementing, configuring and maintaining Informatica PowerCenter.
Minimum 1 year of experience in
implementing, configuring and maintaining Informatica Data Quality.
Minimum 2 years of experience in
Oracle SQL tuning, Oracle stats, index optimization and partitioning.
Minimum 3 years of strong Unix
Administrator experience, especially in performance tuning, upgrades/patches.
Minimum 2 years of experience with
Informatica 8.1 and above, Informatica Team Based Development, Data Analyzer.
Certification in Informatica ETL
administration a plus
Knowledge of Informatica 9.x is a
plus
Senior Informatica administrator is
responsible for supporting and maintaining all Informatica ETL tool and related
products .Perform all aspects of Informatica server operations and
administration services in accordance with established processes and guidelines.
These include, but are not limited to:
Install and configure Informatica
software following the best practices.
Provide operational support for
Informatica servers, recover servers in case of system failures.
Upgrade existing Informatica
PowerCenter and Data Quality repositories from version 8.x to version 9.x.
Deploy Informatica code by using team
based development features.
Manage ETL defects, enhancement, and
new functionality requests to meet changes in the business needs.
Support migration of Informatica code
(reports/models/ frameworks) from one environment to another
Identify and investigate data quality/integrity
problems, determine impact and provide solutions to problems.
Analyze current application process
and recommend improvements
Maintain Informatica on IBM AIX
servers, keeping them in optimal health and taking necessary steps for better
ETL performance,
including but not limited to server parameters tuning.
Manage and maintain Informatica
Informatica Data Analyzer instances and tune SQL queries, if necessary, to
optimize the performance
of the reports.
Configuration of ODBC driver connection
to Notes and Windows server using Informatica provided driver or third party
driver.
Participate in the testing activities
on the upgraded servers, proactively resolve environment related issues, find
root causes and
take necessary steps to prevent them from happening again.
Work with Informatica technical
support when and if necessary.
Perform Informatica software Backup
and Restore activities in close coordination with the Backup team Participate in security audits
and compliance initiatives. Ensure the ETL environment is fully compliant with
Client security policies and internal controls.

Provide 24/7 incident response for
Client's production environment thru established escalation processes Perform R & D activities
and manage Infrastructure technical projects.
Should be flexible to work in shifts
and week ends on need basis in close co-ordination with onsite and offshore
team as well as
with end users across the globe, in a multi vendor / service provider
environment.
Creation and maintenance of technical
documents as per standards followed
Mentoring and guiding junior staff Provide necessary performance
related reports including KPIs as per request by the supervisory staff.
