Position: Java Tech lead

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA

Duration: 6+ months

The responsibilities also include:

• Design and develop industry-leading web applications.
• Produce system design documents and participate in technical walkthroughs
• Review business requirements and come up with high level time and cost estimates
• Work in successful agile development teams
• Partner with business product owners to deliver successful platforms and solutions.
• Respond to and resolve production issues.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in software development in a Unix, Java/J2EE Relational Database (Oracle preferred) environment
• Strong web application development experience delivering Java applications using technologies, such as: Spring, Hibernate, AJAX and AJAX Frameworks, JSP, Object Oriented JavaScript, JSON, web 2.0, HTML, CSS 1 & 2  & 3. Experience in EXTJS and Sencha frameworks is required.
• Hands-on experience with XML/XSLT and XPATH
• Strong understanding of system architecture, object-oriented design, standard java frameworks (SPRING, Hibernate, xstream, iText, FOP etc.)  and design patterns.
• Good understanding of Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedures, SQL optimization skills preferred
• Able to assess and evaluate risk and understand the implications of new technologies
• Rapidly absorb new and complex technical information and apply it effectively
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
