Position Title:  Weblogic/SOA suite/Middleware Systems Administrator
Location: Cleveland Ohio.
Duration: Long term.

Purpose:  The Weblogic/SOA suite/Middleware Administrator is responsible for providing complete support to SOA/Middleware Infrastructure and applications.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITY

  • As part of the Shared Services Team, the individual will provide support for existing and new web services based applications.  Individual will be working with the other application teams to provide the best of breed support for SOA/Middleware infrastructure.
  • The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing day to day support activities as well as special project support for new and advanced solution delivery to the organization. Support in relation to this position includes but is not limited to the planning, coordination, implementation, tracking, reporting, and documentation of delivered technical solutions.
  • Work with internal teams and implement solutions in Web Logic, Aqua Logic/Oracle Service Bus, Web Logic Integration, Oracle SOA Suite products, Oracle AIA foundation pack products,Webservers.
  • Resolve any application issues in a timely fashion.
  • Work with vendors to resolve software and hardware level issues.
  • Work with application developers to promote configuration across various application environments.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance group with the test strategy and assist in participating QA cycles including performance testing.
  • Provide timely status reports, including issues and risk assessment, as well as strategies to mitigate risk and address issues.
  • Support Maintenance: stop/start servers, monitor/report on server status, deploy applications and other routine administrative work, installation, configuration, performance tuning, clustering, load balancing
  • Assume additional responsibility as required.

QUALIFICATIONS (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Web Logic server, Aqua Logic Service Bus/Oracle Service Bus, Oracle SOA suite, and Oracle AIA foundation pack products at the administrator, support role.
  • Extensive experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and fine-tuning experience in these products under multi-node clustered environment.
  • Hands on experience with trouble shooting integration issues within these products
  • Implementation experience of highly available topologies for Web Logic, SOA suite products.
  • Web Logic Server application performance & load testing, tuning and optimization.
  • Experience in setting up highly available architecture using Web Logic, Aqua Logic, and Web Logic Integration.
  • Experience with BEA Weblogic Server, setting up Web logic Clusters, JMX, JMS, JDBC Unix, Oracle
  • Experience with any web service monitoring and management tool, preferably Actional or Oracle Web Service Manager.
  • Solid scripting experience (Perl, Python, Unix Shell scripting)
  • Good understanding of HTTP servers, and J2EE application servers, setting up Apache proxy servers, load balancers, and database concepts.
