JOB SUMMARY
This position will lead functions to drive advanced technology design and implementation activities and will be accountable for planning, engineering,
designing, implementing and managing windows based infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background with windows
system management and software deployment technologies.
Develop and Implement a Technology Roadmap and Governance Concepts. Evaluate and recommend changes in architecture and implementation of new technologies.
Experience designing & implementing solutions on an enterprise level.
Needs to have experience setting up Virtualization solution on an enterprise level, been there, done that.
Scripting (VB Script preferred) is a big plus
Cloud experience is a nice to have
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Own, enhance and maintain Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 infrastructure server environment
Own, enhance and maintain key infrastructure services, specifically Exchange 2010, Blackberry 5.0, Active Directory, Altiris, DHCP, DNS, WINS and Citrix
Provide an escalation point for the Service Desk, Application Administration, Operations, QC, development groups and Business users utilizing both electronic and telephone support.
Own corporate project initiatives providing planning, design, and implementation of department deliverables.
Experience effectively working with and able to converse meaningful architectural discussions on current environmental changes with application SMEs.
Experience creating technology solutions for business project objectives current and new technology innovations.
Continuing education and learning to keep current with technology trends.
Provide timely and complete information to management including current metrics, issues and opportunities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
10+ years experience troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft core server technologies including Active Directory, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and Windows 2008.
5+ years experience managing medium-to-large sized projects.
4+ year administration and support experience with Microsoft SQL 2000 or 2005 Server desired.
3+ years developing and deploying unattended operating system installations for workstations/desktops/laptops using utilities such as Bart PE and/or Win PE desired.
3+ years packaging applications into MSI packages using Wise Package Studio desired.
Expert understanding of networking concepts and technologies including: Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, WINS, DNS and DHCP.
Direct Hands on experience troubleshooting and enhancing desktop security and configuration management through Group Policy Objects (GPO) and the ability to create custom policies.
Works effectively in a team setting as well as independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates in the organization.
Must be able to act in a SME role as well as in a lead role for various projects and initiatives.
Extensive scripting experience utilizing a variety of languages such as VB Script, C#, Perl and VB.NET highly desired. (HIGHLY PREFERRED).
EDUCATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Certifications:
Microsoft Certifications required
