Sr. LDAP Engineer Duration : 8 months Loca: Thousand Oaks CA GC .Citizens . EAD or H1 transfer . Job Summary The primary responsibility of this position is the Unix configuration and operations management, along with daily systems management tasks in a complex environment. The environment contains multiple platforms of Sun hardware, Solaris software, RedHat software, and other infrastructure products. You will also be responsible for ongoing improvement of processes and applying best practices for the environment. Job Responsibilities Provides technical leadership and technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be a delivered on an ongoing basis. Responsible for implementation of developed plan architectures. Responsible for ongoing support for Business Continuity and High Availability. Responsible for assisting with Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning and design as applicable. Provides ITIL Process Planning as applicable. Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable. Rotational 24x7 On-Call Support Basic Qualifications: Qualified candidates must possess the following skills/experience: 5+ years as a Unix Engineer 3+ years working with Solaris 9 or 10 (specifically virtualization, containers and zones) Must have experience working with Sun Hardware Must have experience supporting large, Fortune 100 environments. Experience working in regulated environments, e.g. biopharma, defense, etc., preferred. Candidate must have demonstrated experience architecting, designing, and implementing LDAP infrastructures based on Sun One Directory Server in large scale, distributed environments. Candidate should be intimately familiar with deploying LDAP into virtualized environments. Candidate should be comfortable working with a multi-Master environment with many distributed Consumers. Candidate should be familiar with Sun One DS product version 5.x and 7.x. Candidate with experience performing upgrades and technology refreshes, sizing and scoping LDAP environments, and providing formal recommendations for upgrading and improving the stability of mission critical LDAP infrastructures for large scale enterprise customers are preferred. Candidates with specific experience leverage Sun One DS as a corporate LDAP and as an identity service for Solaris and Siteminder are desirable. recent, large enterprise environment experience in a highly regulated industry able to take the initiative, take ownership of issues and see them to completion, and are very comfortable documenting activities (highly regulated environment) Experience in general Unix/Linux systems Engineering - MTAs, web servers, load balancers, Veritas Cluster Server (VCS), storage (EMC, NetApp), network and host security, and relevant protocols (SMTP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, NFS). Basic programming/scripting Experience in package installation and monitoring of Application Servers RPM (RedHat Package Manager) Solid grasp of TCP/IP networking fundamentals. Outstanding troubleshooting ability. Masters degree OR Bachelors degree & 2 years of directly related experience OR Associates degree & 6 years of directly related experience OR High school diploma / GED & 8 years of directly related experience Preferred Qualifications: Applicable recognized certifications - RHCSE, RHCSA, Familiarity with Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server, MS SQL Databases |
