Database Developer Position in San Jose,CA Bay Area

I'm looking for a Database Developer on a contract basis.  There are two aspects to this position.

1)  Pull UI strings into a database so they will be in one source for the UE and Engineering groups.

2)  Design a database for UI specs.

Position Details:

Must have XML experience

6 month assignment

Pay rate = $50/hr

We're looking for an experienced database developer to help our UI design team deliver the world's best user experience in the digital living room.

Here's what you get to do:

Design and implement a database solution for a complex system of design documents

Work with UI Designers and Engineers to develop a system that tracks design decisions on a variety of platforms for a diverse set of clients, ultimately generating human readable specs

Plan for the internationalization of the design document database

What you'll need to be successful:

Two years experience creating, designing, and maintaining MySQL databases for internet/intranet environments

Extensive experience writing client-side tools in VBA to integrate Microsoft Office 200x with MySQL or similar databases under Microsoft Windows

Expert knowledge of Visual Basic and Word macro scripting

Demonstrated ability to analyze workflow and promote best practices

Practiced in designing, implementing, and managing database systems for high-traffic systems

In-depth knowledge of XML

Experience with task automation
