Primary Skills Required

We are looking for help with the implementation of a Control M scheduling system in our environment that would manager batch jobs and file transfers in the Oracle hosted PeopleSoft application environment.

The work involves:

a.            After installation of local Control M system by /ITS Mainframe Support Systems, advise mainframe Support Systems of any system parameter adjustments required or beneficial to architectural design.

b.            During or after installation of FTP, connectivity, or other miscellaneous agents on Oracle server by /ITS and/or Oracle On-Demand Services advise technicians of any system parameter adjustments required or beneficial to architectural design.

c.             Work with Oracle Consulting Services Application Developers to build in Control M the batch schedules for application processing functionality.

d.            Work with the /ITS Data Warehouse team, /ITS Benefits Application team and OCS Application Developers to enable Control M functional delivery of file transfer into and out of batch processing.

e.            Train /ITS new hires in Control M administration and batch automation service delivery.

f.             Provide expert level advisement on architectural and process design for Control M batch automation.

g.            Develop and publish procedures, including “cook book” instructions, work flows, and architectural drawings for in-house use.

h.            Participate as a team member in the system integration testing and the parallel application testing as it pertains to batch runs of PeopleSoft applications.

i.              For the later part of the term of engagement, provide day to day support and development of the Batch Automation Services delivery 

The experience we are looking for includes:

•             Ten plus years Computer Technical Support/Assistant Programming Analysis including team lead

•             Support experience with Network Administration Assistant/Technical Support

•             Advance Training on Java Programming.

•             Five years of automating people-soft scripts via BMC Control M (Modules)

•             Five years of Application support

•             BMC Control – M Certification 6.4 or higher

Skills to include:

•             Creating Control M batch schedule to fit a new set of business requirements.

•             Scheduling of jobs across multiple production environments (Windows, Unix, Linux, Oracle, and VMS)

•             Instillation support of Control-M 7.0 software.

•             Experience of running Test and or Production Batch Support.

•             Control-M EM and Control-M Desktop -- Ordering/Loading/Forcing of jobs or tables into the schedule, monitoring of schedule to include fixes or escalation

•             Programming using JAVA, DCL, HTML, and SQL,

•             Support, and Maintain FTP Server and accounts

•             Create and Maintain Control-M Jobs using Enterprise Management, and Control-M Desktop

•             Support Control –M servers and Database Servers (Postgres, Microsoft SQL Database, and Oracle.

•             Server Automation via Blade Logic Software and CLM from BMC

•             Creation of CTM jobs for the Control M Modules and the Accounts for each Modules

•             Designed and Document the Control M architecture (like with VISIO)

•             Architectural understanding of Control M Database, Control M Server, and Control M GUI   server.

•             Package builds and installation for the Control M Client Enterprise Manager

•             Installed the Control M Modules to support AFT, DATABASE, INFORMATICA, COGNOS, and PEOPLESOFT

•             Create and maintenance of PEOPLESOFT profile (Account) via Control M Configuration Manager in order to execute People Soft scripts.

•             Create AGENTS and AGENTLESS connection to PeopleSoft Database.

•             Automate and Schedule PeopleSoft batch routines (the jobs) via Control M

•             Worked with FTP accounts using different ftp protocol (SSL, SFTP, FTPS, and FTP)

•             Creating documentation for the workflows and how to create jobs

•             Ability to train others  in Control M operation, monitoring, RERUN, Putting jobs on hold, adding condition e.t.c.

•             Build error handling situation on all job streams
